Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at home, I love all things nature and was trying different angles to capture natural lighting

Time

I was outside and it was late afternoon, I have a large pot at the front door and in the fall I always have mums in various shapes, sizes and colors. I love the fall feeling I get from the colors even though we are still having 90 degree days.

Lighting

All natural lighting of a late afternoon right at the end of summer going into fall.

Equipment

No special equipment except whatever camera I have at hand, even an iPhone which I actually use quite often

Inspiration

Seeing the fall colors of mums, I wanted to remind myself we are in the fall season even though the temperatures are in the 90’s. It’s always the colors of the seasons where the beauty lies.

Editing

I rarely do any post processing besides cropping. I want the viewer to see what I’m seeing

In my camera bag

I always have an iPhone and I also have a Nikon d3400 with lenses. I plan on upgrading and going back to a canon. My first nice film camera was a canon which I still have, it’ll will be an antique soon

Feedback

When viewing pictures try to see what the photographer is seeing, and trying so hard to capturefr, a beautiful blue sky, rushing water or the inside of a flower and see if it speaks to you. Slow down and imagine a day that you have seen a similar place or item and remember how you felt.
