Behind The Lens

Location

Went on a fishing trip in Queenscliff, Victoria and I am glad I took my camera.

Time

A few hours of fishing in darkness when the rain hit at about 2am so I ran to the car for my jacket, saw the scene and just had to snap it.

Lighting

The darkness of the clouds, the reflections from the rain and the pier lights created the lighting for me.

Equipment

Pentax KP. Pentax PLM 55-300 lens, Promaster xc525 tripod. no further equipment.

Inspiration

Returning from the car with my jacket, I looked down the long pier where the fishing gear was and saw the scene the screamed "PHOTO" & couldn't resist.

Editing

I use Cyberlink PhotoDirector for very basic touchups and conversion to jpeg from the Pentax RAW format.

In my camera bag

Pentax KP, Pentax 10-17 fisheye, Pentax 18-55 WR, 50mm, PLM 55-300, DFA 28-105, 40mmXS, Tamron 90mm macro, Sigma 35mm ART. I am very passionate about my photography as an amateur.
