Location
I took this photo in New York. This is a very well known skyscraper in Manhattan.Time
The photo was taken in the late afternoon of a cloudy day.Lighting
The light created interesting geometric shadows on the facade of the building.Equipment
For this photo I had used Canon EOS 600D with EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS IIInspiration
Walking through the streets of New York with a camera is a really interesting experience. Looking up at the sky, you can find hundreds of great shots.Editing
Yes! I post-processed this photo, to further enhance the shapes of the building. I put some selective orange color inside some windows. I also processed the sky, to make it more uniform to the image, giving it a sense of movement. In my camera bag
Normally I have in my backpack: Canon 6D Mark II, Canon 24-105, Tamron 17-35mm, Sigma 105mm f/2.8.I rarely use telephoto (with the camera body Canon EOS 600D), because my favorite genres are architecture, beach photography and landscape.Feedback
Architectural photography would need a tripod in order to have perfect focus. But I hardly go around a city with this accessory. You have to pay close attention to the exposure, since there is often a very bright light between the skyscrapers, which risks leaving the facades of these in shadow.
