Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Hierve el Agua, a very special place in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Time

During the visit to Hierve el Agua, I had the opportunity of spending a night up there so I could take this picture during the sunrise, before other tourists arrive to this place.

Lighting

Here it's a capture made with natural morning light before the first rays of the sun appears between the contour of the mountains.

Equipment

I used a simple equipment for it: Canon 60D + zoom lens 18-135mm. No flash or any other accessories.

Inspiration

The beauty of Hierve el Agua inspired me since the first pictures that I could see of that place. During the research to build a itinerary script for my travel I've discovered this great scenic view and I've got so excited to experience this place with my camera and my curious eyes.

Editing

There's some post-processing specially recalibrating information for blue tones in the image and also a little increasement of contrast and saturation for orange tones.

In my camera bag

Well here it's an amateur poor photographer. Usually I carry all I have: an old Canon 60D, zoom lens, 50mm lens and a GoPro hero 7.
