I was trying to get a shot of both kids smiling while we were out camping; one was willing, and the other was upset. The look of concern on his face is so cute, and her crying face is adorable to me!Time
Springtime out at the campground can be chilly in the morning, so they both have their sweaters and long pants on. In the summer its shorts and hats all day long!Lighting
It was probably morning on a nice clear day. The kids are sitting under 2 big trees that wouldn't have had their leaves yet, so the sun was not blocked out.Equipment
I used my Sony Cybershot camera, probably on auto mode, as I was only learning about the new digital camera still. I love taking lots of pictures of the kids so I can look back at memories like this and smile!Inspiration
I was trying to get a nice side by side of the two, and it didn't turn out that way at all, but it sure makes me laugh the way it did!Editing
Yes, there was something in the shot that I had to remove with some editing, it distracted from the nice spring background. I also used a blur around the edges of the photo to really emphasize the kids and their expressions!In my camera bag
At this time, I only had the camera, no special equipment.Feedback
Keep your camera nearby at all times, you never know what kind of scene will pop up, especially with kids or pets! The unpredictability of children is so fun that if you don't have the camera nearby, you might miss something wonderful.
