I spent a lot of time in the aspen groves in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado this October. I’ve always wanted to try an abstract shot in-camera like this. By setting the camera to a slightly longer shutter speed and jerking the camera up or down as you shoot can create a nice abstract motion blur. Add in the fall colors, and those white aspen trunks seem to float out from the image.
