Location
This photo was taken at Lagoa do Peri, a beautiful lagoon here on the island of Florianópolis, Brazil, where I live with my wife and two small children. The lagoon is very close to our house and is very shallow, perfect for children to have fun safely.Time
If I'm not mistaken, the photo was taken around eleven in the morning.Lighting
The light in this photo is a light that I always try to avoid. The sun was strong and very high. I remember having a little work on editing this photo because of that.Equipment
In this photo I used a Canon 80D with the prime lens 35mm f2 IS USM.Inspiration
This, like most of my photos, was not a planned photo. I was at the pond enjoying with the family, but I have a habit of always carrying my camera. I saw that my brother-in-law and my nephew were having this moment of affection and I decided to register.Editing
Yes, as I said, the light was not very favorable, so I had to "light up" their faces better in post-production. I also adjusted the colors using the Lightroom HSL tool, in addition to the basic adjustments. But I remember using only Lightroom to edit this photo. In my camera bag
A Canon 80D with this lenses: Canon EF 35mm f2 IS USM / Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art (this one I use mostly for video) / Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM / Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM / Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM. A Lenspen to clean your lenses on the go. A small VIJIM led with variable temperature and intensity. A 2 in1 ND2-ND32 Variable Filter (1 to 5 stops) and Polarizer, 77mm diameter (and a kit of adapter rings to fit any of my lenses).Feedback
This is the simplest part. Always have the camera in hand. Incredible moments happen all the time. Just knowing how to see and being willing to register. Of course, for that, it is necessary to know and master your equipment and this is one more reason to always be using it ;)
