Great capture.
I'm pleased you joined my challenge "The November 2020 Collection". Great, thanks, and let's hope it turns all right well for you. The competition is, as ever, very hard! That is this month especially the case, because VB approved the challenge for the gallery and extended the duration. Good luck.

Location
The picture was taken in White Sands National Park in New Mexico. A desert of white tiny sand crystals that make it look like snow. That day it was very windy, you can see sand being blown in the further dunes.Time
It was about midday in a superwindy day.Lighting
All natural light, the midday light was a bit dimmed by a few clouds. Some sunlight was reflected by the sand in the dunes.Equipment
I am just an amateur photogragher, my equipent is far from fancy. At that time, my camera was a Nikon D3400 and the lens was Nikon DX 18-55 mm 3.5. I did not use a tripod as it was very windy and it would have fallen.Inspiration
I have been many times in this place, I love the contrast and the light the sabd makes, usually are sunny days there. Love jow the dune landcapes vary. That day was very windy, and had some clouds that added more dramatic effect in the sky.Editing
I did normal developing process with ON1 photoraw. Specially i lifted a bit the contrast and exposition. The original pic, was a bit taller, I cropped some of the sky, to make it look more like a panoramic picture abd to give more importance to the sand than to the sky.In my camera bag
That camera broke soon after this picture. In my bag, there is a Nikon D5200, the lens Nikkon DX 18-55 mm 3.5, I have another lens, a manual Vivitar 70-210 mm 4.5. My trypod is K&F S210. Of course extra batteries, sdcars and flashlights.Feedback
This shot was shot protecting camera from wind by placing my back aganist wind. I am an amateur photograph, the only advice I can give is look around, try new angles and ideas and shoot, shoot and shoot.
