Behind The Lens

Location

The original image is taken in Japan close to Tokyo City, to be more precise it is taken at the Port of Tokyo.

Time

This image is taken at night.

Lighting

For the original image, I use the light available by the landscape.

Equipment

I had a tripod, Nikon camera, no flash.

Inspiration

The beautiful colourful view. I tried to challenge myself to take the picture on very low iso with a long time.

Editing

Yes, I added a lot of post-process for this image. The original photo I took is having most of it, the loving couple sitting and watching the night view. I added three different images to the final composition. 1st was a sky full of stars, 2nd the moon, 3th a reflection of light into the weather. Additional to all this, I adjust colors and sharpness.

In my camera bag

Huawei P20 Pro, Nikon D700, different objectives (85mm 1.8, 50mm 1.4, 300mm 4.5) wifi macro flash, Speedlight 900, reflectors, studio light, light meter, tripod, laptop

Feedback

Patience is the best skill that I learned from photography. Be patient and look at the frame before shooting. Then, keep the images stored and look at them after a while. It always brings new perspectives and self-learning out of it.
