Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in my front garden. I enjoy looking for simplicity in a composition.

Time

Not long after midday was wondering the garden for inspiration, seeing what would catch my interest.

Lighting

This Agapanthus has the advantage of shade from a nearby tree, with the sun sneaking in to providing highlights. All natural lighting.

Equipment

This image was taken with a Canon 5DIV, with a 100mm macro 2.8

Inspiration

Themes that interests me include freedom, change & renewal This flower I have found interesting in its different stages, this stage brings about thoughts of beginings, change (Not unlike a caterpillar).

Editing

Minor post-processing: adjusting tone & contrast, keeping it simple.

In my camera bag

Usually carry 24-70(2.8), 100mm 2.8 macro & 50mm 1.4 with 5Div body along with polorizing filters

Feedback

Simplicity, Have negative space behind subject.
