Behind The Lens

Location

While I was visiting family in northern CA I stopped in at the Gray Lodge Wildlife to see the waterfowl. They've done quite a bit of work to give these migrating birds a home

Time

I had a picnic lunch in this very spot and watched the ducks, geese and everything else come and go and was serenaded with their sounds.

Lighting

The sky was somewhat dull due to the wildfires that were raging at the time. I primarily wanted to just focus on the placid scene of the resting birds

Equipment

I was using my Canon Rebel 6Ti with a Tamron lens 24 to 300mm. I forgot to put my polarizer filter on that day but still came out ok.

Inspiration

It was a very busy day early winter with birds coming and going. But it was awesome watching them come and go and interact with each other

Editing

No post processing was done to this photo

In my camera bag

I find that I primarily use my Tamron 24 to 300mm for just about everything I shoot.

Feedback

A wildlife sanctuary is a great place to visit and spend time watching and viewing
