Behind The Lens

Location

This photo I took against the wall in my apartment, during self-isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My wife helped me realize this idea and was a model.

Time

This photo was taken in the evening.

Lighting

Since the windows of my apartment face east, the lighting in the evening was not enough to create a bright and contrasting picture.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF-S 15-85 f f / 3.5-5.6 IS USM. I also used a Canon speedlite 580ex II camera flash.

Inspiration

I mainly specialize in portrait photography, so I decided to experiment a little in another area, diversify my creativity with non-standard ideas. I wanted to create something non-standard, surreal and bright. thinking about what i can implement in limited conditions, it dawned on me! almost every morning i fry my eggs for breakfast and i decided to capture this rather ordinary ritual in a more interesting and colorful way.

Editing

I used Photoshop to combine two images into one: a photo of an egg and a photo of a ball with a hand holding it against the wall. slightly increased the brightness and color saturation to make the photo more vivid and contrasting.

I usually have the following equipment in my bag: Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF-S 15-85 f f / 3.5-5.6 IS USM, EF-S60mm f / 2.8 Macro USM, Canon speedlite 580ex II camera flash.
