The Kaiserturm is located on the Neunkircher Hight , which at 605 meters is considered the highest elevation in the Hessian Odenwald. The 34 meter high structure was erected in 1906 as a lookout tower. There was already a previous building. This was a 24 meter high wooden tower in the same place. However, this fell victim to a storm in February 1904.
From today's Kaiserturm, visitors have an impressive view over the Odenwald. When the sky is clear, it even extends over the Ried to the Palatinate and in the direction of Frankfurt am Main to the Taunus.
