Location
I took this photo while hiking on the mountains in the north of Italy. Pian Palù lake, in the Stelvio national park territory.Time
Late morning, not the best light ever but the spot was so nice I had to stop and take some pictures.Lighting
As mentioned above it was not the best time of the day with the light been a little bit too harsh.Equipment
I took this photo ‘on the go’ with an iPhone 11 Pro, wide angle lens.Inspiration
The spot was really beautiful, with the blue waters of the lake surrounded by the mountains. Also the texture of the rocks was amazing so I tried to convince my two dogs to stay still for at least a second to take this shot.Editing
Really minor adjustment with Lightroom mobile. In my camera bag
To be honest I am not that passionate about the last available technology... I use a Nikon D500 with a Nikkor 16-80 mm to be ready for any situation I may encounter while hiking or scouting the area. I also usually bring a wideangle (10-24 mm) and a macro lens (90 mm) both by Tamron, and for wildlife, a Sigma sport 150-600 mm. Manfrotto tripods and F-stop backpack. From time to time I do also take some shot with mobile phones which are getting better and better. I am now using an iPhone 14 Pro Max.Feedback
The quality of mobile phones’ cameras is increasing so fast and they are perfect to take advantage of any situation you may encounter on the way, whichever it may be. If you are into photography, always bring one with a good quality camera in your pocket, there are thousands of opportunities out there!
