Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my garden which is rich in plants with colors. I actually you plants in quite a few photos to bounce inspiration off of the colors and textures.

Time

This photo was taken in the late afternoon, it was actually a watering session for the plants that turned into a photo session for my daughter.

Lighting

The sun was full at the time of this shot, however we were surrounded by beautiful giant maple trees so lighting was perfect.

Equipment

The shot was taken with my Canon 70d, and to be quite honest I can not remember the lense I had on at the time.

Inspiration

I was inspired by my subject and the plants, they just fit together to bring this photo to life.

Editing

I had very minimal post-processing on this shot. I merely touched up a imperfection on the face, and brought her to light just a little.

In my camera bag

In my quick bag when going out I throw in either my 60d or 70d, along with about 3 lenses. I always, always have my 50mm stored in but usually have a 24-70mm hooked in ready to go.

Feedback

If you are trying to capture something similar to this shot just hop in with nature. Let your subject freely feel the plant life around them, they will fall into the perfect shot. Use the color variations that are natural around you.
