The Rock Island 905 is a 4-6-2 Pacific locomotive built in 1911 by the American Locomotive Company in Schenectady, New York. 4-6-2 represents the wheel arrangement of four leading wheels on two axles, six powered and coupled driving wheels on three axles and two trailing wheels on one axle. The old locomotive was coal-fired and could reach top speeds of 100 miles per hour!
