Behind The Lens

Location

this morning moment was captured in surfers paradise Queensland Australia

Time

I was with my husband enjoying a wonderful walk along the beach enjoying and capturing the sunrise when this family of surfers just appeared in the right place and at the right time.

Lighting

all my images are as taken with no photoshopping at all

Equipment

Hand held canon 80D with tamron 18-400mm lens

Inspiration

It was a beautiful morning for a walk along the beach armed with my camera, (as you do), All of my photography is just all about capturing moments in time from being in the right place at the right time with my eyes wide open and camera ready.

Editing

none, never. All my images are as natural as they can be. I have this discussion regularly with my step son who also takes photographs that he heavily tweaks with post production photo shop, where he classes himself as an artist because he creates the images he wants them to be and I'm classed as a photographer because what I see is what I capture and present.

In my camera bag

I usually carry 2 canon now 90 D cameras at all times when out and about, one with tamron 18-400mm lens the other with canon 10-18mm lens. Depending on where I am I also carry a canon 100mm macro lens. I very rarely use a tripod because I like to capture moments and have found by the time I set up the tripod for a perfect shot the moment has passed.

Feedback

Be prepared, have your eyes open and always look for the little things because you won't miss the big things.
