Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while visiting a falconry centre in the Cotswolds UK. This was fairly early in my photography days so one of the first shots I was happy with.

Time

It was around 12pm just before the feeding and flying.

Lighting

I originally liked the colour of the original photo but when I tried it in B&W it seemed to lift the photo.

Equipment

It was shot handheld with a Canon 7D mk2 with a Canon 70-200 lens.

Inspiration

I really admire some wildlife photography and it’s something I’ve been trying to focus on improving myself.

Editing

Just a few small tweaks in Lightroom but nothing more.

In my camera bag

Currently I’ve become very fond of the Cannon 24 & 50 mm prime lenses and seem to take a lot of my photos with them. I usually have the canon 10-18mm in case a nice landscape shot arises and if I’m shooting wildlife I use a Sigma 120-500 mm Sport lens. I have more but these I use most at the moment.

Feedback

Keep trying to improve and shoot what you enjoy shooting. There are no rules just do what pleases you.
