MASKED MATE 2

Introducing the first of my lockdown mates. Don’t get too hung up on names, it’s not important. Rather try to see whether or not you resonate with the mask they wear, the story they convey, the character each portray. Is the mask they wear a cover up, in hope of hiding their true selves or is this really them?

COVID-19 has allowed everyone to make a choice... to look yourself dead in the eye, drop your mask - s and get real with yourself first and foremost OR milk this time to build even higher walls preventing others from seeing the real you, from finding out who you really are!

The humour & irony..... now it’s against the law to drop masks ????and for those who are still ducking and diving, although you may feel a sense of anonymity and that wearing a mask aides in your intention to keep people at bay, you actually give away so much of your identity merely in the mask you choose to wear.
One then needs to ask…. are you masking again or being authentic? ????

I’ll just end up going around in circles if I carry on, so the bottom line is, only we ourselves know the truth and that is all that really counts. These days we spend a great deal more time alone than we did in the past, so it is almost impossible not to do a bit of personal spring cleaning. Look in the mirror and lock into your eyes. If you can hold that gaze, dead into yourself without flinching or deflecting, in my opinion, things in your world are better than what they may presently seem.
