Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at the airport in Recife, Brazil.Time
I remember I was waiting for a flight to São Paulo, going down the stairs, when I saw this Escher-esque view of the airport and immediately rushed back up to make this picture. It must have been on a Friday afternoon, on my way to visit my family during the weekend.Lighting
The hard afternoon light was perfect match for the hard lines of this beautiful airport, full of ascending and descending lines. I chose to leave it in black and white to highlight the beautiful architecture lines under the hard light.Equipment
I used a Canon T6 Rebel, with the kit lenses (18-55mm), without any tripod or flash.Inspiration
This one was not planned at all. I was just overwhelmed by this view while waiting at the airport. However, it immediately made me think about a comparison with the works of M. C. Escher.Editing
My post-processing was done on Adobe Lightroom, leaving it in black and white, with minor changes to the lighting setup. In my camera bag
I'm a beginner amateur photographer, without so much equipment. I usually walk around the city looking for some beautiful scenes for street photos, equipped only with my Canon T6 Rebel, with my two lenses: 18-55mm and a 50mm (F/1.8). Occasionally I take my tripod for some long exposure shots.Feedback
Keep your eyes open. Beauty is everywhere, we just have to be ready to see it. Learning more about composition, visual arts (not only photography), art history, and talking about photography are all useful practices to "open our eyes".
