Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at my home in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Time

Just as the sun was dipping below the horizon, and the sky and clouds were reflecting that beautiful warm glow.

Lighting

the inside of the Tulip showed great colors and beautiful symmetry but it was also very dark inside from the fading light. i simply used a white board to reflect as much natural light as possible and bumped the ISO up to 5000.

Equipment

Sony a7rii, Sony FE2.8 90mm Macro G OSS lens, and and iNDURO tripod.

Inspiration

I love the spring season colors and had dozens of beautiful and colorful Tulips to shoot that day.

Editing

I did crop the photo to square and brightened the inside as much as possible.

In my camera bag

Sony a7rii, Sony FE 4 24-70, FE 4, 16-35, and Sony FE 4.5-5.6, 100-400 GM OSS and my trusty iNDURO tripod.

Feedback

Nature is amazing and photography has given me the opportunity to look at the world very differently always looking at lighting and shapes and colors. You can watch all the Youtube videos available but until you go out and shoot a few 100 photo's a day you'll never improve your craft. This is a mantra i keep repeating to myself (over and over and over and over, lol) Just get out there and SHOOT! it's so rewarding!
