Behind The Lens

Location

The picture I took this picture at the Wadden Sea in Denmark

Time

I took it in the evening at sunset

Lighting

Light is crucial to what kind of expression you want to achieve. I often try to capture the light around sunrise or sunset as it does some magic to the pictures

Equipment

I use Canon EOS R, 15-35mm 2.8 RF lens, and Sirui carbon tripod

Inspiration

I love nature and the Wadden Sea, so my big inspiration is the raw nature and the large areas by the Wadden Sea. And then the light does something very special to the feeling of taking pictures

Editing

Yes, I always shot i RAW, so I will post-process my pictures in Lightroom, and Photoshop. For this picture, I used dodge & burn in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS R, 15-35mm 2.8 RF lens, Canon 70-200mm F4 L and Sirui carbon tripod

There are 2 things that I think are important when it comes to taking such pictures. 1. look for exciting foreground, middle ground and background. 2. go out when the light just gives one the feeling that is wow
