This guy looks like Kieth Moon the drummer of the Who who sadly passed at the age of 32. He was like an octopus on the drums. Second best next to Jon Bonham.

Location
This photo was taken in my old bedroom in Boston during a house party. I lived at house parties and only made sense to photograph the chaos. I found though I like finding the quiet moments, the moments of contemplation amongst a rowdy crowd.Time
It was late night/ early morning during a house party inside a dingy poorly lit apartment.Lighting
The lighting was minimal and simple. An SB800 was used as a background light and one was set up on a stand next to where I was photographing. I needed an unobtrusive set up and the desire hard light.Equipment
The equipment I used for this shot was simple and minimal. I shot with a Nikon d300s, 2 SB 800 flashes.Inspiration
I was heavily involved in the music and party scene at the time. I was photographing my life in high contrast harsh lit black and white photographs. I was aiming to capture the balance of the raw grit of this lifestyle and the purity and beauty of a youthful decade.Editing
I used a simple Lightroom post processing few unique. I shot for a black and white image. I over exposed my highlights in camera to obtain my desired effect in post. In post I raised my contrast levels and clarity. In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon d700 body in my bag even though my d800e is my primary body for most things. I never leave without my 70-200mm Nikor lens. It’s the most beautiful glass. I love shooting with my kit nikor 18-55mm lens. There’s just something about the look of that lens. It’s not “nice” or ideal, but I’m usually shooting to highlight the intrigue in the not so beautiful.Feedback
Live a life worth photographing and have interesting [looking] friends. Always have a (real) camera on you - there will always be an opportunity for a photograph when you don’t have it.
