This photo was taken in New Jersey. The thing I love about where it was taken is that it is so generic that it looks like it could have been taken nearly anywhere in the worldTime
I took this photo in the afternoon.Lighting
Natural light. Afternoon in summer, with light coming in from the window. Probably a lot closer to the window than you think and the room was pretty average in size so I really got no "bounce light" from the walls behind her.Equipment
Ahhh I used my beloved Nikon D-90 and my Nikon 70-300mm lens. A great combo and I used that combo to make some of my best workInspiration
This is my friend Kelsey. She is the first person I ever photographed nude. It was one of those things where you have a space to shoot and you want to make the best use of it. My general practice is I look around and see if anything stands out to me. Some pretty light, a nice texture, some interesting things around the space. In this case, I loved the light coming from the window. Kelsey really nailed the pose for meEditing
Yeah......... ok, I have struggled with B&W tones since I have started shooting. For this photo, I tried something new where I added some "textures" with color tones in them and played around with blending modes and opacities in Photoshop. I was very happy with the resultsIn my camera bag
I used to carry a whole bunch of stuff (camera, lenses, flash(es), triggers, light meter...), but never used much of it and even fond myself trying to find reasons to use/justify them. Enlighted now, I just carry my Nikon D-600 and two (prime) lenses a Nikon 50mm f/1.4G Lens and a Nikon 85mm f/1.4G LensFeedback
Look around!!!!!!!!! Look for something unique and/or interesting. Look at your light. Look, look, look!
