Behind The Lens

Location
Cape Agulhas, Southern Cape South Africa.
Time
10 a.m.
Lighting
It was normal daylight.
Equipment
Canon 40D with 18-200 Canon zoom only
Inspiration
The basis of this composite is the Meisha Maru wreck, which has been photographed to death, and I wanted to be different, so I took a close up of the eye of an old ship's anchor that is mounted outside the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse, blew that up and pasted the wreck inside to look like it was a view through an old porthole.
Editing
Lots of post processing to re-size and fit and some cloning of the anchor to get the right fit.
In my camera bag
Canon 6D, 50mm 1.4, 24-105mm, 200 2.8 and 100-400mm - all Canon.
Feedback
I have got to say that I surprised myself at my "out-of-the-box" thinking ! But basically trying to present a tired old scene in a fresh way.
