Great model. Great capture.

Behind The Lens

Location
This was taken in my room which was my sanctuary when I was younger.
Time
This was taken at night.
Lighting
I liked using the lights I had around me. Being a college student I didn’t have extra money to spend on studio lights. I used the lamp on my side table for this shot. I definitely enjoy the abstract quality you can get from non traditional lighting.
Equipment
This was taken with an Olympus Pen and with a tripod.
Inspiration
I was inspired by magazine ads for this photo. I used to look through them and dog ear the pages of the photos I found most appealing. I imagined this one could have been some sort of fashion ad.
Editing
I didn’t do any post processing but I did use a grain film filter that was an option on my camera.
In my camera bag
My camera, 75-300mm lens, extra batteries, flash drive, examples of my previous works
Feedback
Look for inspiration anywhere and everywhere and then put your own spin on it.
