Najin, the daughter of the late Sudan (the last male Northern White Rhino) and Fatu, the daughter of Najin are the last Northern White Rhinos left in the world living at the heavily guarded Ol Peljeta Conservancy in Kenya.
The extinction of this sub-species is due to human poaching. Their horns are believed to be medicinal cures in someparts of the world.
There is still a ray of hope, scientists have developed two embryos from the Northern Whites and the plan is to perform in vitro on another sub-species that being the Southern White Rhinos. Fingers crossed!
