I am a self taught photographer and have been trying to expand my photography portfolio. This is a photo of flowers I received for my front porch.Time
This photo was taken in the late afternoon as I was experimenting with light, shadows and reflections. The sun was reflecting from the neighbors car which is giving the appearance of a foggy sun.Lighting
I was trying to achieve a photograph that was more interesting then just a flower and I felt the reflection of the afternoon sun on the silver car in the background helped me achieve the look I was going forEquipment
I have a starter Nikon D3400 camera with a zoom lens. I use a Polaroid monopod due to a terrible shake in my hands, this helps me steady the camera so I don't get the blur from the shaking of the cameraInspiration
My photo gallery is mostly pictures of birds. Viewing so many beautiful photos of other photographers flowers, I thought I would try to expand my gallery. So thank you to all the photographers on viewbug inspiring me to better myselfEditing
I used lightroom to crop my photo to get rid of some unwanted back groundIn my camera bag
I am a recreational photographer so I normally juts carry my camera, the kit lens, a telephoto lens, my monopod and serveral memory cardsFeedback
If you are new to photography, like me, I would suggest you just experiment. Look at shadows, reflections, glares. Experiment with angles and settings on your camera. You will know when you have taken a photo you love and then you can build on that and have a style that is unique to you..
