I took the photo at Hershey Gardens in Hershey, Pennsylvania.Time
It was taken mid-afternoon. My family took me there for Mother's Day.Lighting
The day was somewhat overcast so no lighting adjustments were needed. The color stood out nicely. Photo taking that day was great.Equipment
I used an old Kodak digital camera and was hand-held. I was very please with its performance even though it was an older one.Inspiration
I enjoy taking pictures of flowers and this particular flower jumped out at me. I couldn't pass it up, especially since blue is my favorite color.Editing

I have always been a fan of natural lighting. When I take photos I avoid using a flash as much as possible. Sometimes the lighting and color need to be adjusted in post-processing.
