Location
This picture was taken on the Eastern Coast of Central Florida. This is one of my favorite piers on the intracoastal waterway.Time
I took this around 6:00 P.M. about two hours before the sun set. It was a sunny, but extremely windy evening.Lighting
Honestly, the lighting wasn't ideal for the types of shots I wanted to get on the pier. The harsh sun and the relentless wind made this moment difficult to capture. It wasn't until I was editing that I realized this one image came out much better than I thought it did.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3500 with my brand new Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
This young lady, not only, received her high school degree, but also her associate's degree due to dual enrollment. So, because of the pandemic, she missed not one, but two graduation ceremonies. While trying to capture a traditional moment the wind wouldn't stop blowing her hair in her face. Instead of getting frustrated, she threw her arms up into the air & struck a pose.Editing
This picture didn't need much editing. I used one of my black and white presets in Adobe Lightroom. In my camera bag
In my bag, I typically carry a Nikon D3500, Nikon D7500, 50mm lens, 85mm lens, and 14mm lens.Feedback
Even when conditions aren't ideal, take the shots anyway. Sometimes all those imperfect factors can create a perfectly beautiful image.
