Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my porch, this plant is in a pot so I was able to move it around as desired for better background.

Time

It was taken around golden hour, I love taking my shots at that time when possible.

Lighting

Playing with different light conditions is a lot of fun, experiment always.

Equipment

I used my Canon 50 1.4 and a technique called free-lensing meaning the lens is not attached to the camera and everything is manually done, also the fact the it isn't attached makes it hard to achieve focus and hold the lens at the same time. The results can be quite amazing, the blur will be close to what lens-babies produce.

Inspiration

I love nature in general, whenever there is a flower or anything new I get my camera and have to capture it.

Editing

I love editing and play with overlays when I want to add extra magic. For this photo I added a light overlay. Gimp is the only editing software I use.

In my camera bag

I have a couple of lenses, extra memories and batteries, macro filters and a lens duster.

Feedback

Have enough room in your memory card and lots of patience.
