Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on a field about 500 meters from my home, in Öschingen (Baden-Württemberg), Germany. I am a self taught photographer who just started out at the of the last year, so I gain new experience with every new photo that I capture.

Time

This is probably one of my favorite macro shots. I captured this flower this spring while walking our dog and luckily I had my Nikon D5600 and my macro lens with me - to take this beautiful photo.

Lighting

I wanted the flower to come out as detailed and true to reallife possible so I only utilized the available sunlight from the midday sun.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon D5600 with a AF-S DX 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G VR and a Neewer 52mm 0.43x Professional HD wide angle lens.

Inspiration

I was looking for some pretty motives to capture & present the essence of spring.

Editing

I did a little bit of color correction / white balance and that‘s it.

In my camera bag

At the Moment my whole equipment is in my, way too small, Amazon Basics camerabag. The lenses that are in my bag are the following: A Nikkor 50mm 1.8 Prime (aka nifty fifty). A nikkor DX 35mm 1.8 ( Great and cheap portrait lens). A 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 (This kit-lens has become my „macro lens“ combined the Neewer 52mm 0.43x „macro adapter“) & last but not least a Nikkor 70-300mm 4.5-5.6. Then in addition these lenses I carry a flash and a ringlight, some extra batteries and some cleaning gear with me.

Feedback

Spring and a cheap marco lens adapter can be an easy gateway to beautiful flower marco photos.
