New life in the cactus world stretches upward ready to unfurl, reminding me of a curious child ready to spread his wings and explore. The delicate pattern, perfect serrations along the edge and the gentle green give a fragile appearance, but this little fellow is tougher than he looks. The spikes were quite hardy to say the least!
