My backyard is a combination of untamed natural beauty & a touch of landscaping. These sweet little flowers were courageously growing out of a tiny crack in a brick well surrounding a juniper tree. I took the photo with my cell phone camera as always. They are so joyful, bold & delicate at the same time…I couldn’t help but capture their tenacity!Time
April 15th 2020 I ventured outside to catch the afternoon sun around 5pm and found these beauties peering up at me.Lighting
Nothing exciting or different this day, my cellphone (Samsung) has never been changed since the factory settings camera wise. I don’t change nature by manipulating the shot, although it’s perfectly ok to do that…it’s just not my thing. I enjoy capturing nature as she is…she tells me what angle, how close, when the sun is reflecting just right, or the right amount of shade. Simple!Equipment
My trusty cell phone (Samsung). As crazy as it sound, I didn’t own an actual camera until earlier this year when I purchased a Canon. In all honesty I haven’t used it much…it is a goal of mine to take an online course on how to work it! Sounds crazy but true.Inspiration
Some days I go out into nature not necessarily seeking to take pictures, but admiring and taking in her beauty. If the moment captivates me, something calls to me, I am ready to take a pic as I usually have my cell phone on me most times. Inspiration is always around but sometimes I prefer to take in the memory without capturing it in a photo…my technique/inspiration for lack of a better term, is never defined by myself or my desire to find something to photograph. It just happens…I let the world talk to me & if she asks for a photo & I am willingly there at the moment, I oblige.Editing

Snacks! I carry my cellphone in my pocket mostly!Feedback
Everyone is unique & inspired by different reasons. At times, animals really call to me (pet photography which I blend with my painting of pet portraits), other times it’s flowers or birds, landscapes, vineyards, even people lol! Take photos of what makes you happy, share them to bring joy or evoke an emotion from others. Don’t forget to look down too…that’s how I found these sweeties peeking through the bricks.
