Location
This photo was taken at Flinders Beach on the Mornington Peninsula at MelbourneTime
I arrived well before sunsrise and had prepared the night before. I had tried a few earlier compositions before settling on this one before the sun came upLighting
The lighting was nothing special but I liked the subtle flare of the sun low in the blue sky. I liked it because it wasn't dominating the sceneEquipment
I was using a Nikon d810 with a 20mm 1.8 prime - Composition, use your feet but thats when I ran into trouble . The slight backwash on the tripod legs left a slight blur in each image as I tried to get closer to the pilons. There was the faintest of blur from the camera movement in the water.Inspiration
The thing that rally inspired me to take this photo was the peace and quiet, the serenity of the of the place I was in just enjoying the fresh air and the walk, To be honest I was glad to come home withe a couple of descent photos but the beauty of the morning, and mr surroundings, the calmness and peacefulness was worth the hour trip from homeEditing
I did a slight edit in lightoom , mainly to enhance the foreshore and the colors in the sky ( very slightly )In my camera bag
I usually carry my Nikon D10, 20mm prim, 50mm prime and 28-200 which rarely gets used. I also have the usual culprits, a nisi filter system ( I'm also using this less and am exposure blending a bit more) I carry an abundance of lens cleaners, betteries , chargers, and if I'm not travelling too far from the car I will take my Olympus OMD EM5 MKii which I love for carrying aroundFeedback
