My passion for photography is typically portraiture, but due to social distancing, I have been forced to explore other subjects. The flower is the blossom on a bush planted in memory of my family pet. This was shot in my garden in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England.Time
This shot was the first test of my brand new Canon RF 70 - 200mm that had just arrived. I had been so excited to try it out, as soon as it arrived (3pm 16th April) I rushed immediately out into the garden to snap whatever I could find.Lighting
This image was shot with the natural light from our westerly facing garden.Equipment
Shot on my Canon EOS R, 70-200mm, handheld.Inspiration
As previously mentioned, lockdown in the UK has forced me to find inspiration in alternate subjects. As well as having a new toy to play with.Editing
This image was processed in Lightroom. I used a Peter Mckinnon preset that I'd picked up as a base for the edit and made a few minor tweaks from there. In my camera bag
My camera bag is usually packed with my: EOS R RF 15 - 35mm RF 70 - 200mm EF 50mm A mini tripod Spare batteries Charger Mavic MiniFeedback
For me, I would urge you all to just get out and create. Don't be limited to your usual styles or subjects. Find and celebrate the beauty in whatever you find. Enjoy, and happy shooting!
