Location
I took this photo of pink blossom in Roe Woods, Sheffield 5Time
It was on one of my morning walks. I took this at approximately 10am on a lovely Spring Day.Lighting
There was dappled sunlight in the woods and I noticed that this blossom was lit by a full sunbeam shining through the leaves so it didn't need any additional lighting.Equipment
I used my compact camera, a Nikon A900 on the macro setting.Inspiration
Flowers are one of my favourite subjects for photography, so I go out in Spring and Summer into woodlands and Parks where flowers are usully found.Editing
Just slight adjustments to the contrast in Windows photo gallery. It didn't need much post processing at all.In my camera bag
I usually use an Olympus OMD mirrorless system which includes a couple of bodies and lenses including a 12-200mm zoom and a 60mm macro lens which I use for close-ups and also portraits. I also carry a compact camera for quickness and convenience.Feedback
I find a compact camera with a macro setting is just as good for flower photography than an expensive macro lens, but it all depends what equipment a photographer feels comfortable with.
