Location

I took this photo in our back courtyard wher we have five miniature magnolia trees.

Time

Was taken about 10 AM when the bloom had opened and the natural light was casting shadows on its pistil and petals.

Lighting

The light was natural morning light and casting shadows on its pistil and petals.

Equipment

I hand held my Nikon COOLPIXP100. No flash, filters or other was used.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the bloom's distinct beauty with its gorgeous pistil and leaves and overall shape.

Editing

I cropped it slightly and did a minor adjustment of the lighting.

In my camera bag

I do not carry a bag; I simple carry on my Nikon COOLPIX P100 on a neck strap.
