This is Palouse Falls in eastern Washington state at sunset. It plummets more than 200 feet into a huge natural amphitheater. Even though it was a cold February evening, just before I took this image I spent some time talking to a father who had just married his daughter to her fiance at an outdoor overlook opposite the falls. The groom had proposed to the bride at Palouse Falls, and they had returned with family for their wedding.
