Behind The Lens

Location
The Photo is taken in Hong'En temple park located in Jiangbei district, downtown Chongqing, China. Depsite having lived here for 6 years I'd never been to this park before. I was very pleasantly surprised.
Time
We arrived at the park at around 4 in the afternoon, and just happened to reach the top where the pagoda is located around the time golden hour was setting in.
Lighting
Natural light, the photo is taken facing South, the sun is just about to set.
Equipment
This was actually a bit of a quick photo. I lined myself up with the middle and just snapped away. The photo is taken with a Canon 6D Mark 2 and a 17-40mm L series.
Inspiration
I love ancient Chinese architecture, and this building is just simply stunning.
Editing
The photo has been cropped to leave out trees on either side, but it is a little too tight though. Some very simple color adjustments in Lightroom but nothing more than that.
In my camera bag
Well my Canon 6D Mark 2, EF 17-40mm f/4 L-series and my 70-200mm f/2.8 are always in my bag.
Feedback
Buildings like this one has so much detail by themselves, to me you don't really need anything else in the frame. Get close and get detailed.
