Behind The Lens

Location
I shot this in my kitchen on the counter top
Time
We shot this in the middle of the day.
Lighting
The kitchen has patio door and window that filled the room with light. Also, the center island has 3 drop down hanging light with 60 watt daylight bulbs. This added nice fill light which eliminated shadows.
Equipment
This was shot with a hand held Canon 70D with a EF f/1.8 85mm USM lens
Inspiration
In a word "Keira" went she shows up she is going to put on a show. She has a stupendous repertoire of poses with variations so that you are never shooting a pose you have shot before. She is an amazing model and a dear friend. One of the sweetest and nice people you will ever meet. She is unflappable, scared of nothing and very knowledgeable of what you are trying to accomplish in a shoot and she is a collaborator and co-conspirator not just a muse.
Editing
Keira skin is porcelain not tan or reddish. So I made a slight adjust on temperature, to make her skin less red/tan.
In my camera bag
My DSLR cameras have evolved over the years starting with the Rebel SXi to a 60D, 70D, 7D and 5D Mark III. Now I shoot with an 80D almost exclusively. My bag always has two lenses in it, an EF 85mm f/ 1.8 and the 18-135 mm f/ 3.5 - 5.6 kit lens and a dimmable led light for moments when AF needs a little assist. I also have a spare battery, memory cards and IR remote, cable release, mini notebook and a couple of pens.
Feedback
Listen to your muse and take input and let her be herself and create a shared vision. You will be amazed at the results.
