Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at one of my favorite places near the city of Hallein.

Time

As you can easily see at the so-called blue hour, around 16:30 GMT

Lighting

I tried to find the balance between the frosty environment and the warm last light of the day. And I think I succeeded.

Equipment

The picture was taken with my 7D Classic and a 24/70 f4 lens on a tripod.

Inspiration

At this place, which is about 1000 m above sea level, you have a fantastic view of the expiring Alps. The tree pulls the view towards the horizon and is intended to convey the vastness. A picture with the setting sun makes it all the more beautiful.

Editing

The picture was taken in RAW and developed with Luminar. Only the shadow and light balance was affected.

In my camera bag

Since I only have one camera, I usually only need two lenses. 24-70 / f4 and 70 / 200mm f4 both from Canon.

Feedback

It is usually an advantage if you are at locations that are already overwhelming in their beauty. I usually go to these places when the lighting mood becomes interesting. It can be early in the morning or at sunset.
