Behind The Lens

Location

Hubble Trading Post which is a National Historic site on the Navajo Nation Reservation in Arizona.

Time

My childhood friend and I had been driving through the Navajo Nation Reservation viewing and visiting different sites. About mid afternoon we arrived at Hubble Trading Post and took our separate ways looking and photographing this wonderful Historic site. As I had nothing with me at the time except my phone I took pictures using that but viwed that I would come back with more proper equipment in the future!

Lighting

Being mid afternoon with clouds scuttling across the sky it was just old fashioned luck and timing my shot with the clouds to try and get the best lighting that I could....I think it turned out pretty well! What do you think?

Equipment

This was shot with my Samsung Galaxy Note 10....no other equipment involved.

Inspiration

I just fell in love with the uniqueness of the machine just sitting there out on the dry desert as if someone was going to come right back and use it but never did!

Editing

The only thing that I did post-processing was to crop the picture and adjust the light exposure and saturation slightly. Nothing else was done.

In my camera bag

As I am saving up for a camera the only thing I carry at this time is my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.....nothing else.

Feedback

My advice would be to just go for it! You never know what you might get! Also, try to take multiple angles so that you have more than just one shot to capture what you want.
