Location
I took this photo on my deck. I received a bouquet of white roses from a friend of mine and I wanted to save their beauty. Since I like macro photography I took some photos close up and focused in the center of the rose. I then did some softening in photoshop.Time
It was a spring day so, I put the flowers on a table out on the deck. I didn’t want direct sunlight on them so I wanted until the afternoon when the direct sun would not be so harsh on my deck. I get a lot of the morning sun on my deck so I wanted to the afternoon to shoot the roses.Lighting
No special lighting just outside on a sunny day.Equipment
This was shot with Sony SLT A65 lens 18-55 hand held. No tripod, flash or any other photo props.Inspiration
I like taking unique photos and I had a vision in my mind of a soft looking flower. These white roses were beautiful and I wanted to try what I was in-visioning.Editing
The only post processing I did was softening the flower in photoshop. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Sony A65 a long with my batteries. Lenses that I carry are 75-300 mm, 18-55 mm and a 18-200mm.Feedback
The only advice I would offer is if you like macro you don’t need a macro lense if your on a tight budget like me. I focused my 18-55 mm lense as close as I could without the focus being to distorted. Then soften it to your desire in photoshop. I’m not an expert but I do like being different and creative.
