Location
This photo was taken on the Shetlands, the Scottish islands. While wandering along side the high cliffs, birds fly by. As did this Northern Fulmar. With harsh winds it was hard to focus, but I'm very happy with the end results.Time
This was on 21-04-2018 around 17:00. We were just making a walk before dinner. Beautiful but windy day.Lighting
While having the sun from the back, this was the perfect spot for the bird to be. Therefore the light circumstances were spot on.Equipment
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 7D Mark II and using a Sigma 150-600mm C lens. No tripod.Inspiration
I'm an amateur wildlife photographer and have a special feeling for birds. Therefore, I always aim to make photos from as many birds species as possible while on vacation.Editing
Almost no post-processing needed. Just some minor light and sharpness adjustments. In my camera bag
I always use my Canon EOS 7D Mark II and Sigma 150-600mm C lens. Good combination for bird photography.Feedback
Be patient and always try, even when the circumstances are hard!
