As the lighting appeared gilded, I chose to make this photo into a more water-colored work. Shadows played nicely against the golden background. The bare trees took on a barren shape with the muted light.Equipment

As i love meandering the old roads in this amazing community, filled with red barn roofs, cattle, Amish children and buggies, I realized I had stopped at this crossing countless times, and opted to memorialize. As the folks here do not believe in having their picture taken, I am respectful of their culture, and instead shoot the countryside; and beautiful scenery such as this century old Rail-Road track and crossing.Editing

The Ozarks provide a scenic wonderland, resplendent with glorious nature, diversity from the seasons, boundless flora and fauna. In American's Amish community, one goes back to a prior date and time, and glimpses its' serenity. Breathtakingly beautiful, a photogs dream, and on the road less traveled.
