Location
This photo was taken at a nature trail walk and preserve in the Indian River County of the beautiful state of Florida. After a long walk through thickets and brush, you come to an opening and there is the wooden overlook. The overlook leads to a beautiful brackish water scene kept secretly hidden by rhizaphora mangle, (The Red Mangrove). This habitat gives life to an abundance of species, from the smallest crabs, to some pretty impressive alligators. This is truly an oasis so long as you don't mind mosquitoes.
Time
I remember it was late afternoon. I didn't want to sacrifice energy so I asked my father to give me a lift to the beginning of the trail. I unloaded the bike and headed into the wilderness of this unique location. By the time I had reached this location I was already losing the sun. I took advantage of the moment and simply left the bike up against where you see it in the picture, the picture that was never meant to be shot!
Lighting
The lightning was not perfect, in fact I was losing the much needed light, not only for the picture, but for my journey back to the main road and to safety.
Equipment
Believe me or not this photo was taken with a camera phone. Not being able to afford a quality DSLR, never kept me from my love of photography. Still, like pro, I always carry a basic tripod, and a few extra gadgets and bendable, sturdy wire, just incase I have to do a makeshift stand, should the tripod not work for the shot.

Editing
There wasn't much to edit other than adding a little more clarity and the dehazing the photo a little to give it a little pop and color. A fellow pro photographer commented on this photo and I greatly thank you and appreciate you for your inspirational comment.
If i may mention him, his name is David plume and his comment can be seen when you view this photo on Viewbug.
In my camera bag
In my bag I usually carry a tripod, a few microfiber cloths, thick bendable wire to place the camera in places where the tripod just won't go, and backup batteries. My budget is tight, an i also prefer to travel lightly. But Werth more recognition, I am realizing my photography arsenal needs to get much better.
Feedback
Around every corner it isn't just a photo, it's memory! Just like this award winning photo, one i had almost never had thought to capture, I did anyway. Capture your world, as many moments as you can. Take your photos home and review them, and through your review, you might say to yourself, maybe I should let everyone see this image, even though it's not the best to me, it just may be great to them!
