We celebrated Australia Day on the 26th January, so I thought a magic way to do this was to head up to Paluma Range National Park and take a hike through the rain forest. Hard work, quite steep in places but wow look at the view! Overcast and wet it was, but with magical cloud hanging low to create this beautiful scene. The flowing water here has a long way to travel downward as this is at the top of the range. Paluma is about an hour or so north of Townsville, North Queensland.

Thank you Joop, this was my first visit to Cloudy Creek. Even though it was a tough hike this view was so worth it!

Then your island must be a beautiful place, thanks so much Momo. It was so tranquil here, all I could hear was the rushing water and bird song! :)

Thanks so much PattiC, it was a tad precarious, but I managed to get a reasonable composition without slipping into the water or going over LOL!
