Location
The photo was taking in a patch of overgrown Weeds and blackberry by the side of a local walking path, mid morning after a brief rain shower.Time
MidmorningLighting
Although the weather was dull was poor the overcast conditions made the light diffuse without strong contrast. I try to avoid using flash and try to capture the natural lighting which can be difficult with longer exposure times.Equipment
Canon Rebel t3i , 100mm macro with tripod.Inspiration
The flower was a bright spot in an otherwise dull and dreary landscape. Although not bright it stood out against the darker floiageEditing
No post processingIn my camera bag
Normally I use the 100 mm macro as my favourite lens but always carry extension tubes and a teleconverter for smaller subjectsFeedback
Weather is always an issue for macro photography, but even on wet overcastdays there is always something to photograph, wind however usually means staying indoors
