Location
From the midpoint of the Ben Franklin Bridge in the opposite direction that most face.Time
I was up on the bridge hoping for a brilliant sunset over Philadelphia, but when that fell through I turned the opposite direction toward Camden and saw this wonderful gradient on the horizon as the train passed.Lighting
After golden hour, the dusk light on the horizon was all that was needed. Fortunate the bridge's lights had gone on.Equipment
This was shot with a Sony A6000 and a 35-200mm zoom lens. I had already packed up my tripod, but fortunately there was no need for a long exposure in the moment.Inspiration
I've been intrigued by the skyline photos of Philly from what seemed to be this vantage point, and without a drone. It's worth the hike up the bridge for views in many directions, but the train's approach is always a highlight.Editing
I've used photoshop for minor colour correction and alignment. In my camera bag
At that time I had my sony A6000 and a variety of lenses and nd filters, not to mention a tripod. Recently I switched to the A7RII and mainly one trusty lens.Feedback
Always wait for the full setting of the sun, you never know what surprises may lurk.
